Please find below the information needed:
Firearms
Firearms may be carried as securely packed checked baggage. No airline (operator) approval is necessary, however the item must be:
• unloaded;
• securely packaged (eg lockable case); and
• declared at the time of check-in.
To allow the segregated carriage of firearms, passengers are permitted one additional piece of baggage within their total weight allowance at no extra charge.
Ammunition
Ammunition may be carried as checked baggage provided airline (operator) approval has been given. To request an approval email
dg@qantas.com.au and include the following:
Full name of firearms license holder.
Firearms license number and expiry date.
Flight details.
All firearms and ammunition must be carried in accordance with the regulatory requirements of the State, Territory or country you are travelling to, from or through.
Travel to, from or through Dubai
Dubai authorities generally require passengers carrying firearms and/or ammunition travelling to, from or through Dubai to obtain an approval.

Passengers remaining on the same Qantas flight number and aircraft do not require an approval, however all documentation must still be forwarded to
dg@qantas.com.au.
